Governor John Lynch, of New Hampshire, said he will sign the same-sex marriage bill if the Legislature makes some changes to further protect religious liberties. If the changes are made, he will sign the bill and New Hampshire will become the sixth U.S. state to sanction same-sex marriage.
Meanwhile, we still wait for the California State Supreme Court to rule on Proposition 8 and New York and New Jersey to decide what they will do with their legislation. If, all three of these states swing to allow same-sex couples the right to marry, then that would make nine total states or close to 20% of all states to legalize same-sex marriage. I'll say it again, the train has left the station and there's no turning back. Thank you Governor Lynch for being open-minded and fair.
